Dutee Chand became the first Indian women track and field sprinter to win the Gold medal in Global Universiade as she grips top position in 100m dash event in Napoli.
From start to end she dominated everyone in the race. She was the first to blast the start blocks and she was the only first to secure finishing line clocking 11″ 32”’ while running on lane no.4
She got tough competition as Del Ponte (Switzerland) was very close to her who got Silver by cracking finishing line within 11″ 33”’ and Lisa Kwayie (Germany) got Bronze by reaching the finishing line in 11″ 39”’

She became the second Indian girl to win Gold in any Global athletics. Hima Das was first who secured top rank in 400m junior athletics.
Dutee Chand was also the silver winner of 200m & 400m race in the Asian championship.
She disclosed after win that she was preparing very hard since the last two years to win this Gold as she had a childhood dream to win Gold in any Global athletics.
The Indian public is very happy to hear about this proud win as it worked like pain relief to them on the loss of cricket semifinal and many of them are celebrating the win of an Indian girl in any Global athletics.
